Antonella grew up in Genoa, Italy, where her father owned a traditional goldsmith workshop in the city’s historic Via Orefici district, the Street of the Goldsmiths. She trained as a goldsmith and later took over the family business, developing a deep, hands-on knowledge of jewelry craftsmanship, design, and material. Years after moving to the United States, Antonella drew on this experience to create Via Orefici.
